The Controls and Instrumentation Department specializes in the development and construction of custom control applications with special emphasis on the municipal market. Our highly trained technologists and technicians have extensive experience in PLC (Programable Logic Controllers), DCS (Distributive Control Systems), and radio based SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.

Lynk has installed over 100 SCADA systems, providing the company with a track record that speaks for itself. Projects ranging from simple remote monitoring of sewage lift stations, sophisticated boiler and turbine controls, and complete metropolitan water and waste-water treatment plants have shown the versatility and competence of the company's people.

Having being granted system integrator status from companies such as Foxboro, Modicon, and WEB clearly indicate the skill level of Lynk's personnel.

By Utilizing graphical interface programs such as VTS, we can provide the customer with a friendly computer environment which permits the operator to easily access process information. If desired, we can set up a radio SCADA network which can be tied into the central monitoring computer which would allow the operator to view remote process conditions.

Using Web software, we have recently developed an automatic dialing system known as 'Lynkup' with an unlimited number of alarm points. The system will call the designated person and verbally speak the alarms. It also permits verbal acknowledgment of the alarms and / or verbal instructions for process changes. This allows the operator to take corrective action even before arriving on the scene.
